Kiehl’s Earth Day 2010 Campaign by David LaChapelle Featuring: Pharrell Williams, Jeff Koons, Malia Jones, Julianne Moore

Awhile back we gave you a look at Kiehl’s Earth Day collab product with Pharrell Williams, artist Jeff Koons, surfer Malia Jones and actress Julianne Moore. Today, the NY-based label has released David LaChapelle’s campaign shots of each celeb posing alongside their personalized bottle of Acai Damage-Protective Mist. Stunning. The bottles are available now here, with 100% of the net profits (up to $200,000) benefiting the Rainforest Alliance.

It’s so good to see that important figures in the pop world are putting themselves out there in order to great an awareness for the world’s problems. It seems so vital that more and more well established individuals get their opinions out regarding a problem that they are passionate about. As much as they receive, I think it is extremely important that they give back. As for these people as well as those who have their own charities, I have tremendous respect for them. They don’t have to do this, they are taking the time out of their lives to work hard and spread the word about forests being cut down and how the world is slowly dying if nothing is done.

Life.

I’M GOING TO GO ON A KANYE RANT RIGHT NOW, I HAVE NOTHING TO BE MAD ABOUT BUT I’M JUST GOING THROUGH SOMETHING IN MY LIFE THAT HASN’T OCCURRED BEFORE. I RECENTLY WENT ON A TRIP TO CALGARY, AND I MET TONS OF PEOPLE. THEY WE’RE REALLY COOL AND I HAD A GREAT TIME. BUT IT IS HARD TO GO THROUGH GREAT TIMES WITHOUT HITTING SPEED BUMPS ALONG THE WAY. SO DESPITE MEETING TONS OF PEOPLE AND MAKING NEW FRIENDS, THERE WAS SOMEONE IN PARTICULAR THAT REALLY GRABBED MY ATTENTION. DESCRIBED AS MY FRIENDS AS THE CLOWN OR THE COMEDIAN WHO MAKES THEM LAUGH CONSTANTLY OR CRACKS WITTY JOKES ON THE SPOT, IT IS VERY HARD TO FIND SOMEONE WHO I CAN RELATE TO WHO CARRIES THE SAME ATTRIBUTES AS I DO. BUT WHO KNEW I WOULD FIND SOMEONE LIKE ME ON A TRIP IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE? IT BAFFLES ME AT TIMES BUT REGARDLESS, THIS INDIVIDUAL SEEMED TO BE THE ILLEST AND COOLEST PERSON I HAVE EVER MET. BUT, UNFORTUNATELY, THIS PERSON DOES NOT LIVE ANYWHERE NEAR THE CITY I RESIDE IN AS WELL AS THE FACT THAT THEY ARE NOT SINGLE EITHER. SO HAVING FELT THIS BLOW, I START TO QUESTION WHO I AM AND LIFE IN GENERAL. WHAT IF EVERYTHING IN LIFE WORKED OUT? COULD YOU IMAGINE THE HAPPINESS AND THE OUTCOME OF THIS CRAZY IDEA? I MEAN, IF SO, HOW MANY PEOPLE WOULD BE LIVING HAPPILY WITH THOSE INDIVIDUAL THAT THEY FOUND BUT GOT REJECTED? BUT I GUESS IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO ANSWER AND THAT IS HOW LIFE WORKS. WE DO NOT HAVE A DELOREAN TO DRIVE IN WHICH WILL TAKE US BACK THROUGH THE HANDS OF TIME. SO I GUESS, SITUATIONS LIKE THIS ARE HERE TO HELP PEOPLE GROW AND THEY ARE TEMPORARY SO TIME WILL HEAL ALL. SO ON THAT NOTE, I JUST WANTED TO LET EVERYONE KNOW WHAT NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS IN LIFE, IT IS SO IMPORTANT TO MAKE STRIVE AND CONTINUE WORKING HARD AND EVENTUALLY OR HOPEFULLY, LIFE WILL WORK ITSELF OUT.

SO IN THE WORDS OF EMINEM:

Nobody asked for life to deal us
With these bullshit hands we’re dealt
We have to take these cards ourselves
And flip them, don’t expect no help
Now I could have either just
Sat on my ass and pissed and moaned
Or take this situation in which I’m placed in
And get up and get my own

[…]

But I already told you my whole life story
Not just based on my description
’cause where you see it from where you’re sitting
Is probably 110% different
I guess we would have to walk a mile
In each others shoes, at least
What size you where? I wear tens
Let’s see if you can fit your feet
