adidas Originals Campus ’80s Primeknit

Last year we got a taste of the potential lifestyle applications for Primeknit when adidas SLVR unveiled its CL-Primeknit and now adidas Originals has applied that concept once again to the adidas Originals Campus silhouette. The Campus ’80s Primeknit features a clean Primeknit upper accented with white leather Three Stripes branding and white knit heel tab.

After seeing the new Nike Flyknit releases and being thoroughly disappointed, I was hoping I would come across another shoe what could replace my old Flyknits for this upcoming summer season. Although I was never a fan of adidas and vowed to remain a Nike loyal, these look very promising and if they are priced right, they will be a definite purchase for me. The navy blue with the white contrast is spectacular. 

visvim FBT OPPIAN JP

This week visvim has released a fantastic new version of its popular FBT. The visvim FBT OPPIAN JP comes with a premium UK cowhide suede upper and a Vibram outer sole. The hand-sewn upper features a hand woven ankle-wrap, using antique fabric. Priced at $630, the shoes are now available in overall four colorways.

I’m a huge fan of visvim and to no surprise, Hiroki Nakamura once again releases one of the best footwear silhouettes. Utilizing the FBT shape, a little addition of detail and material once again comes broth to another footwear classic. 

eYe COMME des GARÇONS Junya Watanabe Man x New Balance MRL996

Taking on the MRL996 silhouette, the collaborators have given the sneakers a red leather upper with reflective grey hits at the vamp and heel, complemented by subtle reptile leather accents, while a white REVLITE midsole and black outsole offer both stability and cushioning, while also providing for a classic look. Elsewhere, branding from both labels are placed on the insole.

I love what New Balance has done in the past years or so to really rebrand their aesthetic approach and brought back as well as created designs that have caught the attention of fashionistas around the world. With respectable collaborations including this one, I hope to see them continue along this path and keep bringing us good products.

mastermind JAPAN x visvim Zip Skagway

A second collaboration for the Winter season between both visvim and mastermind JAPAN comes to light. This time both work together on a special make up of the Skagway high top. The shoes feature a classic Chuck Taylor cut with side zipper and black & white colorway. Stay tuned for a closer look in the coming weeks.

Oh my god… These are fresh to deahth. Going to cost you $$$$$$ but its all good, they’re worth it.

With Fall/Winter offering an abundance of new footwear styles, Visvim assure that their colorways remain consistent for the new season, adding further colorways of their Gabo Hi Elk to the list of new releases. The hi top premium leather kicks are seen in three different subtle color tones.

Similar to the Chuck Taylor style with a new and innovative design, these shoes are sure to provide a fresh look for the upcoming Fall/Winter season. The leather is always high quality when it comes to Visvim footwear and the flap at the back of the shoe adds extra dynamic accent.
